Wessex Tree Care was established in 2023 in Lethbridge, Alberta by Mitch Stainer.

 

Starting in 2016, Mitch discovered a passion for all things tree care. Beginning his career as a labourer for a local company in Poole, England - Mitch continued to develop his skills by completing an arboriculture apprenticeship at Kingston Maurward College.

 

Over the next few years he obtained many arboriculture qualifications whilst working alongside the local municipality. Mitch then decided to go out on his own and become a contract climber to provide a service for smaller, local companies. In 2020 Mitch moved to Victoria, BC where he began working for Bartlett Tree Experts - this is where he developed many new skills in ornamental and fruit tree pruning. He then spent the next 3 years in Coastal BC plying his trade in big tree and hazardous tree removals for commercial and residential properties. We combine our arboriculture experience from the South West of England and coastal BC to provide a premium service to all of our valued customers.
